Paddlers Needed
The club has been asked by Castlegate Quay to help with a marathon swim event being held at the centre Sat morning 16th Aug. They require competent paddlers to act as safety cover during the event, you will be expected to be on the river following the swimmers in case they get into difficulty and escort them to shore. So if you think you can help be at the centre for 9:30am finishing about 12:30, let them know you are from STCC and they will give you a parking pass, they need as many paddlers as they can get, you may even get lunch afterwards. Please support this if you can as it may help the future of the club.

Ellerton camp weekend 5th/7th September
The club is holding a camping weekend at Ellerton lake from Fri 5th until Sun 7th Sept.
We intent taking all sorts of boats with the emphesis on open boats, coaching sessions on both days for those who have never tried it, also a good opportunity to learn to roll as the lake is the perfect place to practise.
Bring your BBQ equipment for Sat night as the pub is a long walk.
Peter Dodds have negotiated a special rate for the club to use the rally field.
Tents, caravans etc £5 night per unit.
Use of lake. £4 per day adults & £3 per day juniors.
Thier are basic toilet & shower facilities onsite
